BookiesK Terms of Use
Effective from: 14 October 2026
Who we are: BookiesK is run by Josh Tandi, a sole trader in England trading as BookiesK ("BookiesK", "we", "us"). Address: 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. Contact: hello@bookiesk.com.
1. What BookiesK is
BookiesK is a social app where adults share football picks, follow other people and discuss matches. A pick is a record of a selection and the odds you say you took.
No bets are placed in BookiesK. We are not a bookmaker, we do not take stakes or pay out winnings, and we do not link you to bookmakers. Nothing in the app is betting, financial or investment advice. Past results do not predict future results.
2. Who can use it
- You must be 18 or over and live in the United Kingdom.
- You may have one account. It must be yours and the details you give must be true.
- You sign in with your email and a code we send you, or with Apple or Google. Keep access to your email secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- If you have self-excluded from gambling, we recommend you do not use BookiesK. You can self-exclude from BookiesK in Settings.
3. How picks and records work
- Picks lock when you publish them. You cannot edit the fixture, selection or odds afterwards.
- You can add a visible amendment or retract a pick. A retracted pick stays in your record, marked as retracted, and does not count as posted on time.
- Picks are never silently deleted. Your record shows wins, losses and voids alike.
- Supported picks are settled from match data. Other picks are settled by you and are labelled as self-settled. If the match data is corrected, we may correct the settlement.
- Odds are the odds you enter. Do not enter odds you did not take.
- Your stake is hidden unless you choose to show it. Slip screenshots you upload are private to you and our moderators.
- For settlement questions, the match-data result is final.
4. Your content
- You own what you post. You give us a licence to store, display and share it within BookiesK and on share cards and links you or others create from it, for as long as it is on the service and afterwards where needed to keep records accurate.
- You must follow the Community Guidelines. We may remove content or restrict accounts that break them.
- Do not post anything you have no right to post, including other people's personal information.
5. BookiesK+ membership
- BookiesK+ is an optional paid membership at £9.99 a month. It opens for purchase once five tipsters are live; until then the app shows it as coming.
- It gives you tipsters' premium picks before kick-off and extra views of your own record. Premium picks open to everyone at kick-off.
- Payment is taken by Apple through your Apple ID. It renews each month until you cancel. We tell you the price before you buy.
- Cancel at any time in your Apple subscription settings; the app links you there from Settings. You keep membership until the end of the period you paid for. We do not charge cancellation fees.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
- We will give at least 30 days' notice in the app before any price change, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
- Membership does not promise that any pick will win or that you will make money.
6. Tipsters
A tipster is a BookiesK+ member whose record has passed our checks. These terms apply if you become one.
- Qualifying. We check activity, audience and results each month using picks settled from match data that have a slip screenshot attached. The current rules are shown in the app. Passing once does not guarantee you stay a tipster.
- Membership. You must hold a BookiesK+ membership to be a tipster.
- Identity. Before you can earn, we check a photo ID and UK bank details in your name.
- Premium picks. You may mark picks as premium. They are shown to members before kick-off, open to everyone at kick-off and join your public record once settled. Premium picks cannot be retracted.
- Earnings. Tipsters share a pool equal to 30% of what we receive from memberships after VAT and Apple's commission. Your share depends on how many different paying members open your premium picks each month, up to a cap. We pay every three months by bank transfer once your share reaches £20; smaller amounts roll over.
- No guarantee. Qualifying does not guarantee any earnings. Shares change every month.
- Your responsibilities. You are not our employee or agent. You are responsible for your own tax. You must not promise profit, claim inside information, enter false odds, use more than one account, or arrange for accounts to open your picks.
- Pausing and removal. If you miss a monthly check twice in six months, premium posting and your share pause until you pass again. If you break these terms or the guidelines, we may suspend you and you lose any unpaid share. If you leave voluntarily, we pay what you have earned to that date if you still meet the results check.
- Refunds to members may reduce a later payment to you.
7. Safer gambling
BookiesK includes tools to take a break, hide betting content and self-exclude. If gambling is causing you harm, call the National Gambling Helpline free on 0808 8020 133, at any time.
8. What you must not do
Use the app if you are under 18; scrape or copy the service; interfere with how it works; try to get around a suspension; use it to advertise bookmakers, tipping services or payment schemes; or use it for anything unlawful.
9. Suspension and closing accounts
- You can delete your account in Settings. Your name is removed from picks that stay in other people's history, which are kept in anonymised form to keep records accurate.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can appeal in the app.
10. Our responsibility to you
- We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise it will always be available or free of errors.
- We are not responsible for losses from bets you place elsewhere, or for the accuracy of picks, odds or opinions posted by users.
- We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. Your statutory rights are not affected.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it applies. If you do not accept it, you can stop using the service and cancel any membership.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
