BookiesK Community Guidelines

BookiesK is a place to share football picks, follow people whose thinking you rate and talk about the match. These rules keep it honest and safe. They apply to picks, posts, comments, profiles and share cards.

The short version

1. Be honest about your picks.
2. Never promise anyone a win.
3. Treat people decently.
4. No spam, no selling, no bookmaker links.
5. Look after yourself and others.

1. Honest records

• Post picks before kick-off. A pick posted after kick-off is marked as late.
• Enter the odds you actually took. Do not inflate them.
• A published pick is locked. If you got it wrong, add an amendment or retract it; do not try to hide it.
• When you settle a pick yourself, enter the true result.
• One account each. Do not use a second account to restart a record or to boost another.
• Slip screenshots must be your own and unedited. Crop out your name, balance and account numbers.

2. No promises of profit

• Do not say or suggest that a pick is guaranteed, a "lock", risk-free or certain to win.
• Do not claim inside information, or ask for or offer anything connected with fixing a match.
• Do not present betting as a way to earn a living, clear debts or solve money problems.
• Do not pressure anyone to bet, to bet more, or to chase losses.
• Tipsters follow the same rules. A good record is shown by the record, not by claims.

3. Respect

• No harassment, threats or bullying.
• No hate speech or abuse aimed at someone's race, religion, sex, sexuality, gender identity, disability or nationality.
• No abuse of players, officials or other users over a result.
• No sharing of anyone's private information.
• No impersonating another person, club, bookmaker or BookiesK.

4. No spam or selling

• No links to bookmakers, affiliate codes or sign-up offers.
• No advertising of paid tip groups, courses, schemes or other services.
• No asking for or sending money between users.
• No repeated or automated posting.

5. Safer gambling

• BookiesK is for people aged 18 and over.
• Do not post content that encourages someone who is struggling to keep betting.
• If you are worried about your own gambling or someone else's, the National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133 at any time. You can take a break, hide betting content or self-exclude in Settings.

6. Nothing illegal or harmful

No content that is unlawful, sexually explicit, violent, or that puts anyone at risk.

How we moderate

• Limits on posting. We limit how often an account can post, comment and follow, which stops repeated and automated posting.
• Reports. Every pick, post, comment and profile has a report option. Reports go to a person, not a machine.
• Blocking and hiding. You can block anyone, and hide betting content in Settings.
• Word filter. Posts and comments are checked for banned words and phrases before they go up. You are told what to change.

What happens if these rules are broken

• Report it. Use the "•••" menu on any pick, post, comment or profile. Reports are private. You can also block anyone.
• We review reports and decide what to do. Depending on how serious it is, we may remove the content, warn the account, suspend it for a period, or close it.
• Tipsters who break these rules can lose tipster status and any unpaid share.
• Serious cases, such as threats, match-fixing or content involving anyone under 18, lead to immediate removal and may be reported to the authorities.
• You can appeal a decision in the app. A different review of the case is made where possible.

We aim to review reports within 2 working days.
